All-Star Game festivities return in 2021 for the CLPB; North & South Division rosters announced
West Palm Beach, FL. — The Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches 2021 All-Star Game will be played on July 18th at the Ballpark of Palm Beach FITTEAM Stadium with first pitch set for 11am.
The 2021 All-Star Game returns to the CLPB after 3 years!
A 2019 rain out and COVID-19 hindering the 2020 contest, the league’s best athletes were unable to showcase their skills side by side.
The North and South Division rosters have been announced for 2021 and the amount of elite talent is overflowing.
With several notable selections, the North division team is nothing short of incredible from top to bottom.
Jupiter Wave Outfielder Chandler Kezele has put on a laser-show through the first 20 games of the season. An unconscious .450 batting avg. and 10 RBI’s, Kezele is 18 for his first 40 at-bats!
North’s stellar ballclub also adds the league leader in strikeouts in Mark Link from the Palm Beach Vipers. A 1.03 ERA through 26.1 Innings and 33 strikeouts! Expect to see Mark shine in his performance.
Wellington Colts Catcher Gavin Bogdanchik has been thrilled with his performance so far this season as well. The incoming freshman is swinging the bat incredibly well with a .385 avg and 10 RBI’s.
“I feel like as an incoming freshman going into the league, I have a lot to prove. I’ve worked on my game almost everyday and it’s nice to see that it pays off on the field. Confidence is big for me stepping up to the plate.”
Gavin also highlights what it means to him being an All-Star this summer.
“It’s an honor being selected for the all-star game especially from my coaching staff and to play with some of my teammates makes it that much more special.”
As the home run race begins to climb, All-Star nominee Isaias Guzman (Jupiter Wave) is tied for second place with 3 bombs. The top-tier infielder is looking to break the tie this weekend!
One other dominant arm that will be a key to victory for the North is Pete Komaroski of the North Palm Beach Flamingos. Pete has thrown 38.1 innings with just 5 earned runs and knocking on the door of strikeout league-leader with 31!
Both North & South will be managed by the coaching staff of the two teams atop their divisional standings.
The coaching staff of the Palm Beach Vipers, will coach the North Division as the Vipers hold the best record in the division at 12-8.
We want to congratulate each player that was selected to the 2021 CLPB All-Star Game from the North Division, best of luck on Sunday!
