Wellington Colts’ top-notch ballplayer shines at the plate in week 6 of the CLPB.

West Palm Beach, FL. – Wellington Colts’ Colby Martin has been named CLPB’s Week 6 Position Player of the Week, announced Saturday by the league office.

Martin, a sophomore from Lititz, Pennsylvania, has been rewarded for his fine play with a selection to the 2021 CLPB All-Star Game! He will represent the North division with a few of his other teammates.

Over his last 3 games, Colby is 8 for his last 12 with two doubles and three RBI’s!

As we cross the halfway point of the season, Martin has solidified himself as one of the league’s best all around players.

The two- way pitcher/infielder just finished up his first year of collegiate ball at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Colby dominated all year at the plate; 82 hits in 180 at-bats, 55 RBI’s, and 8 home runs!

The Wellington Colts possess a 10-8 record, 1 game back of first place in the North division. Do not be surprised if this team begins to control the division after the all-star break.
