Q: What made you want to play in the CLPB this summer?
A: I saw the video on Twitter and I like what I saw and #DoSummerBallDifferent stuck with me.
Q: What kind of teammate would you say you are and why? Ex: Vocal Leader, Leader by Example, Energized Player.
A: I would say I lead by example because I’m not that very vocal but I can go up and hit a ball hard and get the team started.
Q: What made you decide to go to Jones College?
A: I chose Jones College because they are always good and the coaching staff are really personal with their players and Jones are really good at getting players to the next level and that’s what I want to do is play baseball at a high D1 level.
Q: You saw the ball great this past season at Jones College with a .361 BA and 6 HR. What do you attribute that success to?
A: I give God the credit for allowing me to have the ability to have an amazing freshmen year. Then, I thank my coaches for teaching me more about the game and furthering my knowledge about the art of hitting and lastly, I thank my teammates for pushing me to be the best everyday we stepped on the field.
Q: What would you say is your greatest baseball achievement at any level?
A: I would say my greatest achievement is playing baseball at the next level because statistically only 9% of high school baseball players play at the college level so I’m blessed to have made it this far.
Q: If you weren’t in school for baseball, what would you be doing? Why?
A: If I wasn’t playing baseball, I would be a sports analyst because I just love sports and being around them even if I’m not playing.
Q: You’re currently at a .500 BA for the season, what has it been that’s gotten you to hit so well this summer?
A: I just been working hard because I want to keep playing this sport as long as I can. I do a couple of drills that I’ve learned this past season and I’ve just put in the work & been consistent as possible and let God handle everything else.
Q: When it comes to baseball, who is your role model? Why?
A: I’d say my role model is David Ortiz. I’m a big Red Sox fan and I grew up watching him dominate the game and he’s the great person off the field too. So, I credit David Ortiz for making me fall in love with the game.
Q: If you had to pick one MLB team you wanted to be drafted to, where would it be? Why?
A: I’d love to be drafted by anyone but if I had the choice to get drafted by anyone it would definitely be the Red Sox because It just always been a dream to play at Fenway Park.
